In lieu of a standard Author Note today, I’m copying and pasting from a news release issued by Iceberg earlier this morning. Times like these I’m reminded how much I miss being able to pick up the phone and call my mother and father at 709-576-4020 to share some good news. But then I remind myself they already know… and I can feel them smiling.

WATERLOO, ON – Ten years after its original release, the powerful story of a father-daughter relationship that defies the ravages of Alzheimer’s disease has won an international award. The special tenth anniversary edition of A Daughter’s Gift, by Canadian author Jacqui Tam, has won an Independent Publisher Book Awards –– or ‘IPPY’ –– silver medal.
