IPPY win for That Wolfdog Lifestyle

June 3, 2021

A book produced within a month to support an Alberta wolfdog sanctuary has received an international award.

That Wolfdog Lifestyle showcases the personalities of the wolfdog residents at Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, a facility that provides safe, lifelong homes for animals who are part wolf, part dog, and who cannot live in human homes and neighborhoods.

Released last year during the first period of COVID-19 lockdowns, this week the book received a bronze medal in the Animals/Pets category of the 2021 Independent Publishers Book Awards, commonly known as the IPPYs.

The IPPYs honour the year's best independently published titles from around the world, and are intended to bring increased recognition to the thousands of exemplary independent, university, and self-published books released each year.

Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, just outside Cochrane in Alberta, is one of a few facilities in North America that provides sanctuary for these amazing animals. When one of their most significant sources of the funding –– revenue from visitors/educational programming –– was impacted starting last spring due to the COVID pandemic, Iceberg partnered with them to create the book.

That Wolfdog Lifestyle features over 200 photos of the wolfdogs who lived at the Sanctuary at the time, and part of the proceeds from every single book sold –– either online or at the Yamnuska gift shop –– goes to the Sanctuary. Order your copy today!
