Privacy
Iceberg Publishing collects data from visitors to its main website and series subsites in two possible ways, both of which can be altered or stopped at the visitor’s discretion.
Subscribing for Updates
If you choose to provide Iceberg with your email address (to subscribe for updates), what will we do with that information? Probably not use it as much as we should.
By providing information in a ‘Subscribe for Updates’ field on either Iceberg’s main site, or one of its series sites, you are choosing to provide your email address and the name associated with it to Iceberg Publishing. We will be the owners of the data, and will store it alongside our own secure and confidential information. It will not be sold, rented or otherwise provided to an entity (marketing firm, individual, or otherwise) outside of Iceberg’s team.
What will we use your email address for? None of us at Iceberg enjoy receiving spam, and we certainly don’t intend to send it out. Instead, we’re governed by the principle of communicating important information –– we will contact you with news we feel is important, not simply to remind you we exist.
If you’ve signed up for email updates and wish to either change your information, or be removed from the list, that’s not a problem: simply visit the ‘About’ page, click ’email’, and send a request (including your email address, if it’s different than the one you’re sending from) to be taken off the list. Ironically, we’re not including the email address you’ll need to contact on this page… because we don’t want a spam bot to get hold of it!
Retargeted Advertising
If you’ve visited an Iceberg website, and now think that Lady Alex from Champions is following you across the internet, you might not be wrong. As you browse Iceberg’s sites, advertising cookies will be placed on your computer so that we can understand what you are interested in.
Our display advertising partner, AdRoll, then enables us to present you with retargeting advertising on other sites based on your previous interaction with Iceberg. The techniques our partners employ do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, postal address or telephone number. You can visit this page to opt out of AdRoll and their partners’ targeted advertising.
